The Avenue Children’s Centre and Kindergarten is a small 38-place, not-for-profit, community-based centre located in a quiet, tree-lined street in Balaclava. The centre has been in operation since 1975. It is situated in a converted heritage listed building owned by the City of Port Phillip and is run by a committee of volunteer parents. These parents dedicate their time and energy into the decision making and running of The Avenue. Parking is no problem and we are just a stones throw from Balaclava train station, a bus stop on Hotham St and trams on nearby Carlisle Street.
